Everyone wants to grow in one’s career and it is full of sheer hard work, luck and what not.

Following are some of the learnings derived from hundreds of books/ youtube videos:

• You need to be up to date on what's happening around in the world in your niche - follow related topics and discussions on social media (twitter, linkedIn, youtube), reddit, etc. and read a lot of books. You need to move at the speed the world does.
• Build additional skills which can put you on a strategic position. For example - while you may master finance, master marketing along side so that you have the functional knowledge as much as some business/ comms skills.
